An incredible moment was captured when a huge sea turtle emerged from the ocean in an unidentified area. It then paused in the sand before returning to the waves.

The video below was made by a group of people who were able to witness the scene. Later, the animal was identified as a magnificent leatherback turtle.

How giant can a leatherback turtle really be? The Leatherback turtle is the giant sea turtle in the world and can grow up to 7 feet long. As an adult, it can weigh up to 2,000 lbs. Leatherback turtles are distinguished by their front flippers reaching as high as 8.9 feet.
