Dating in 2020 is not as easy as you might think. We have become so insecure with very unrealistic beauty standards. What people do not know is that, all the pictures portraying beauty standards have either been edited, or have been beautified by makeup, or the model has gone through so much surgery to look that way. With these standards being pushed through the media, people get insecure about their natural skin.
Our skin has flaws, and it’s the flaws that make us all beautiful. The fashion world doesn’t help us with improving our self-esteem, rather they would destroy our self-esteem only to market that Kylie Jenner’s Lipstick so we can plump up our lips as she did. Oh puh-lease!
This is not only affecting girls but also guys, especially with their picture being put on their dating profile. They become so insecure they’d rather hide behind another’s identity and date. If you have heard of the TV Show by MTV, Catfish, you know that hundreds of people steal somebody else’s identity and make a fake profile because they don’t feel beautiful or handsome enough to show their true faces.
However, Glenn Embrey wanted to stand against the beauty standards of today and teach a lesson about natural beauty with a pinch of humor.
He posted a bunch of hilarious photos that took us and a lot of internet users completely by surprise. He states that he was told to put filters in his photos to look attractive to women. So he posted his pictures with ACTUAL filters! Like, actual filters. Not Snapchat filters, not Photoshop filters, it’s a bunch of actual filters. Filters for coffee, oil, fuel, and air filters.
His post reached more than 37K reactions and over 10K comments on his Facebook wall. It was a mission accomplished!
Have a look at some of his pictures with FILTERS!

I have been in love with writing ever since I was a kid. This led me to study English literature for my higher education. I am also an LLB(Law) graduate. I am always curious about happenings in the world. It could be anything and everything. Curiosity to explore and learn new things made me a content writer. I’m focused on improving my writing skills and increasing my passion for knowledge. Aside from being a total bookworm, I love to dance, I do Tiktok, the list goes on!
Here’s a little sneak peek into my personal life. I’m a single mother, and I have a beautiful baby girl. My life would never have been better without her.
